SEPTEMBER

Letters of Support Needed! MEN’S EMMAUS WALK, September 5th-8th-
We are collecting letters of support for our Men’s Emmaus Walk participants now through September 4th. There will be writing paper, envelopes, and a collection box placed outside the Sanctuary. Jot down a scripture and encouraging word to show these men their Highlands Family are thinking of them! The Highlands men attending this walk are: Cody Collins and Geronimo Ojeda.

WOMEN’S EMMAUS WALK, September 19th-22nd

The Emmaus Walk is based on the scripture Luke 24:13-35. It is a 4-day retreat where you spend 24/7 in the presence of God through worship, testimonies, and prayer. If you’d like to attend, we will find a sponsor for you. It is free of charge. Please let Lisa or Dwight Roysdon know. They can answer any questions you may have! roysdoncl@gmail.com &  roysdondj@gmail.com

SERVE SEPTEMBER: Many of our departments here at Highlands are in need of volunteers. Are you interested in serving but aren’t sure about making the commitment? You can shadow a member of the Highlands team with no commitment necessary to see if that particular ministry is right for you! We need volunteers in Highlands Kids, Highlands Cafe and on the Highlands Parking Team. If you’re interested in potentially serving in one of these departments, see the corresponding team leader before or after service.

Highlands Kids – Ami Watson
Highlands Cafe – Tricia Kirsch
Highlands Parking Team – Brandon and Mariah Brandt

IMPORTANT! O.C.C. (Operation Christmas Child): This month, let’s bring in flip flops and fishing supplies. Last year, we filled over 800 boxes; this year, OUR GOAL IS 1,000! If you would like to purchase a case of 50 boxes, you can do so for only $40! We could also use some helping hands to assist Carol Watson with this ministry project! For more information or to purchase a box case, please see Carol.
